Camelot: Ecosystem-First DEX on Arbitrum
2026-07-07
Camelot is an ecosystem-focused, community-driven decentralised exchange on Arbitrum. It prioritises deep and sustainable liquidity for Arbitrum-native projects over generic DeFi usage, offering highly customisable pool infrastructure that projects can configure for their specific needs. Camelot runs both a V2 constant-product model and a V3 concentrated liquidity model, and has expanded to nine chains including Gravity, Gnosis, ApeChain, and Plume.
The fee model differs between the two pool versions. V2 pools charge a uniform 0.3% swap fee, with 40% going to the protocol and stakers and 60% to liquidity providers. V3 pools use dynamic per-pool fee tiers ranging from 0.01% to 1.5%, with Camelot retaining 15% of fees on Arbitrum and 20% on other chains. Of Camelot's retained share, 70% flows to GRAIL and xGRAIL token holders through staking and buyback mechanisms, while 30% covers operations and licensing costs. All-time fees have reached $54.7 million, with $64.8 billion in all-time trading volume.
The adapter reads Swap events from both V2 and V3 pool contracts across all nine chains. For V2 the fixed 0.3% fee is applied to swap input amounts. For V3, the fee-tier field from each pool's slot0 configuration is used. Protocol revenue is computed by applying the appropriate percentage per chain, with GRAIL distribution tracked separately as holder revenue. Managing two completely different fee calculation paths across nine chains in a single adapter required careful abstraction to keep the code maintainable without duplicating logic.
