Valdora Finance: Liquid Staking on ZIGChain with stZIG
2026-07-24
Valdora Finance is the native liquid staking protocol on ZIGChain, formerly Zignaly's blockchain. Users stake ZIG tokens and receive stZIG, a liquid staking token whose exchange rate against ZIG appreciates as staking rewards accumulate. The protocol is non-custodial and decentralised, operating on Cosmos SDK infrastructure, allowing stakers to remain liquid while earning staking yield on a chain most DeFi data platforms had no coverage for.
Revenue comes from a 10% performance fee on gross staking rewards. The remaining 90% accrues to stZIG holders through exchange-rate appreciation: there is no explicit reward claim, the yield is baked into the token's price. The protocol conveniently exposes an on-chain daily rewards tracker contract that reports gross staking rewards earned by all ZIG delegated through Valdora, which simplified the data collection step considerably compared to reconstructing rewards from raw validator events.
ZIGChain is a Cosmos SDK chain, so the adapter queries Cosmos staking distribution modules rather than EVM logs. Cosmos chains have their own RPC layer: the Tendermint RPC and Cosmos REST API: and their own data structures for staking rewards. All-time fees have reached $638,800 with about $2,900 in the past seven days. Adding Valdora contributed to expanding DefiLlama's Cosmos ecosystem coverage beyond the major chains like Cosmos Hub and Osmosis into smaller native DeFi protocols.
